This policy describes the LocateForMe website and beta interest list. It does not describe the old LocateForMe tracking app or any future app that has not launched.

What we collect

When you apply for beta access, we collect your first name, email, city/state, selected interest, consent version, request time, and email confirmation status. If you contact us, we also receive your topic and message. Please do not send sensitive information, passwords, exact home addresses or another person’s location.

This website does not request GPS access, track people, collect payment details, or access old app accounts. Choices in the concept planner stay in your browser unless you select an interest on the application form.

Why we use it

We use the details you provide to verify and manage your request, assess possible beta participation, send a relevant test invitation or access instructions if you are selected, respond to your questions, and protect the forms from misuse. Registration is optional and does not guarantee access.

Emails about your request

We send an address-confirmation email when you apply. After confirmation, the team may reply about your application, a specific beta invitation, test arrangements, access changes or a support request. We do not use this form as a marketing subscription. Cookies and technical information

The forms use a temporary first-party session cookie for security. It is not used for advertising. We do not install analytics, advertising pixels or third-party maps. Our hosting provider may record request information such as IP addresses, browser information, timestamps and errors for security and operations. Form rate limits use a keyed hash of the connecting IP address, not a plain-text IP in the application database.

Storage and retention

Beta requests are stored in a private database on our hosting account. Unconfirmed requests become eligible for deletion after 7 days; confirmed requests after 12 months from submission. The website clears eligible records during subsequent form activity. You can request earlier deletion or use your withdrawal link. Security rate-limit entries are similarly cleared after 24 hours. Contact messages and copies held in the team mailbox are retained for up to 12 months after the inquiry closes; mailbox cleanup is handled by the team.

Sharing and security

Our hosting and email providers process information needed to host the website, store requests and deliver emails. We do not sell your data, provide it to advertisers, or share your request with venues. We may disclose information if legally required or necessary to investigate misuse. Access is restricted to people handling the beta and technical operations. HTTPS protects information in transit; no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy or correction of your information, request deletion, withdraw your beta application or object to further contact by emailing us. A withdrawal removes the active beta database record; contact the team if you also want related mailbox correspondence removed. Legal obligations may require limited retention. Requests are reviewed by the team, and applicable privacy rights are respected.

Age and changes

This beta interest list is for adults aged 18 or older. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so we can remove it. Material changes will be described here; we will seek new permission before using beta-request data for an unrelated purpose.
